Job description

Job Title: Data Engineer II (Enterprise Systems & Analytics)
Role Overview
We are seeking a solution-oriented Data Engineer II to join our software delivery team. In this role, you will analyze existing systems, formulate logic for new data pipelines, and design logical database structures with a focus on interoperability and operational stability. You will be responsible for deploying moderately complex enhancements to our enterprise data systems, ensuring that data is accessible, reliable, and optimized for high-impact analytics. This is an ideal role for an engineer who balances technical coding expertise with strong analytical judgment to solve cross-functional data challenges.
Key Responsibilities
• System Design & Development: Formulate logic for new data systems and devise complex database procedures. Design and deploy enterprise-level enhancements while ensuring compatibility with existing infrastructure.
• ETL Pipeline Management: Build, test, and debug data pipelines within a best-in-class software delivery framework. Focus on "operational mindset" coding to ensure long-term system health.
• Problem Solving: Resolve application programming and data analysis problems of moderate scope. Conduct in-depth analysis to obtain results for analytics-centric business challenges.
• Software Excellence: Apply core software engineering principles, including unit testing, CI/CD, and source control, to deliver high-quality data solutions.
• Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams and senior analysts to address technical problems spanning multiple technology areas.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Education: BA/BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field (equivalent experience accepted).
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience within a Data Engineering or ETL ecosystem.
• Technical Mastery:
• Proven experience with major ETL and Data platforms (e.g., Spark, Informatica, Palantir Foundry, or SAP BODS).
• Strong knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) and data access tools.
• Proficiency in software engineering best practices, including Source Control and Automated Testing.
• Competencies: Strong analytical judgment and the ability to translate business requirements into logical database designs.
