Job description

Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

This position involves working on the end of a mill where candidates will pack boxes, deburr tubes, and move tubes across the facility. Minor assistance to the mill operator will be required. Responsibilities also include quality control using measuring tools. After 2-4 months of gaining comfort with the machine, candidates will begin training to become an operator. The role is physically demanding and involves lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Work at the end of a mill, packing boxes and deburring tubes.
  • Move tubes across the facility and assist the mill operator.
  • Perform quality control using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Lift and handle materials up to 50 pounds.
  • Train to become an operator after gaining familiarity with the machine.

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably as a machine operator.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
  • Experience in performing quality checks using measuring tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working on a mill.
  • Proficiency with measuring tools such as verniers, calipers, and micrometers.
  • Experience with deburring and machine setup.
  • Experience in automotive or metal manufacturing.
