Baylor University's Louise Herrington School of Nursing is currently seeking candidates for clinical track faculty positions to teach in the online Doctor of Nursing Practice program. We are actively recruiting new faculty with a strong commitment to the classroom and an equally strong commitment to utilizing nursing knowledge as we fulfill our mission and pursue Baylor's bold vision, Baylor in Deeds. The areas of teaching responsibility will vary according to the faculty member's specialty area and specific assignment.
Position commences Fall 2026 (August) and Spring 2027 (January)
This position may be on-site in Dallas or remote.

In the U.S. News Best Nursing Schools rankings, the Doctor of Nursing Practice program in Baylor's Louise Herrington School of Nursing in Dallas jumped into the Top 50 nationally at No. 43.
Baylor nursing's DNP program offers eight tracks, including Family Nurse Practitioner, Nurse-Midwifery, Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Executive Nurse Leadership and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and the U.S. Army-Baylor Anesthesia Nursing (USAGPAN).

The budgeted salary range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is
$ 5,000.00 - $ 6,000.00 per 3-hour Didactic course
This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certification, analysis of internal equity, and other business and organizational needs.
Qualifications
Board of Nursing Required Faculty Qualifications:
Each nurse faculty member shall: (A) hold a current license or privilege to practice as a registered nurse and national certification as an advanced practice registered nurse; (B) show evidence of teaching abilities and maintaining current knowledge, clinical expertise, and safety in subject area of teaching responsibility; (C) hold a MSN or DNP/PhD; (D) Nursing degrees must be from accredited institutions. (E) National board certification as an APRN.
Minimum Experience: Must have 2 years of teaching and/or full-time APRN clinical experience within the last 5 years.

Background and Drug Screens are required and applicants will be contacted regarding screening procedures and enrollment in Castlebranch Tracker. The tracker is an online system for tracking documents and records required for clinical affiliation.

• Proof of negative TB test (including interpretation and induration) that will not expire before the end of the semester.
• Proof of Tdap immunization or immune titer
• Proof of MMR immunization or immune titer
• Proof of Varicella immunization or immune titer
• Proof of influenza vaccination (including manufacturer and lot number)
• Proof of Healthcare Provider CPR certification
• Proof of Medical Insurance (copy of policy face or coverage card.)
• Proof of RN licensure
• Copies of national board certifications
