Description

**Top Secret Clearance + Security+ Certification required day 1**

What You'll Do

• Execute hypervisor node builds, including ESXi host provisioning, configuration, and integration into existing vSphere/VCF environments

• Support VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) lifecycle management (LCM) operations, including patching, upgrades, and bundle management

• Create, maintain, and manage VM templates and golden images in accordance with STIG baselines and organizational standards

• Perform network integration tasks including VLAN configuration, distributed virtual switch management, and NSX connectivity support

• Assist in the enforcement of DISA STIG requirements and host profiles across virtualized infrastructure

• Support ATO documentation, RMF activities, and continuous monitoring efforts in coordination with the cybersecurity team

• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues across compute, storage, and network layers and escalate complex problems to senior engineers as appropriate

• Maintain accurate technical documentation including runbooks, configuration records, and change logs

What You Bring

• 4–7+ years of hands-on experience in infrastructure engineering with a focus on VMware virtualization environments

• Working knowledge of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), ESXi, vCenter, and vSAN

• Experience with VCF lifecycle management operations including patching and upgrade workflows

• Familiarity with VM template management and image maintenance in enterprise environments

• Understanding of network integration concepts including VLANs, distributed virtual switches, and basic NSX operations

• Working knowledge of DISA STIGs and their application in virtualized infrastructure

• Active Top Secret security clearance required; TS/SCI eligibility preferred

• VMware certifications (VCP or equivalent) a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a DoD, IC, or cleared defense contractor environment

• Familiarity with RMF, NIST 800-53, and the ATO process

• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, PowerCLI, or Terraform

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience considered

• DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification (Security+, CASP+, or equivalent)
