Job Summary

As an Azure Cloud Engineer, you will support an Azure Landing Zone greenfield implementation project.

Job Description

We are looking for an Azure Cloud Engineer to support Azure Landing Zone design and implementation for a large scale cloud initiative. This position will be part-time contract and fully remote. This position is scheduled to begin August 3, 2026 and run through February 2027.

Only work authorizations not requiring sponsorship now or in the future will be considered.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and implement Azure infrastructure solutions for a landing zone environment

  • Configure virtual networks including hub and spoke architecture with VNet peering

  • Develop and manage custom route tables and user defined routes for secure traffic flow

  • Create and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell Python and Azure CLI

  • Build and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform Bicep and ARM templates

  • Design and implement CI CD pipelines to support automated deployments

  • Support containerization strategies using Docker and microservices architecture

  • Integrate ITSM processes and systems within the cloud environment

  • Develop business continuity runbooks and operational procedures

  • Implement centralized alerting and monitoring frameworks

What You'll Need

Required:

  • Strong experience with Azure infrastructure engineering

  • Experience with VNet peering hub and spoke architectures and network routing

  • Proficiency in PowerShell Python and Azure CLI scripting

  • Hands on experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform Bicep or ARM

  • Experience designing and implementing CI CD pipelines

  • Experience with Docker containerization and microservices concepts

$98 - $109 per hour

The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will include 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
