Job description

We are hiring experienced CDL A Drivers to support advanced vehicle testing operations involving driver-assist and autonomous driving technology. This role combines professional commercial driving with vehicle testing, safety inspections, and collaboration with engineering teams.

The ideal candidate has strong tractor-trailer experience, a clean driving record, and is comfortable operating various fleet vehicles while following strict DOT and safety standards.

Responsibilities
  • Safely operate semi-trucks, straight trucks, and passenger vehicles on public roads and closed-course test environments
  • Test driver-assist and autonomous vehicle features while maintaining full control and awareness of vehicle operations
  • Perform detailed pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including DVIR documentation
  • Provide clear written and verbal feedback regarding vehicle and system performance
  • Drive and back 53’ dry vans safely and efficiently
  • Follow DOT regulations, company safety procedures, and operational guidelines at all times
  • Assist with additional operational tasks as needed
  • Maintain a professional attitude and work collaboratively with internal teams
Requirements
  • Valid CDL A license and current DOT medical card
  • Minimum 5 years of verifiable Class A tractor-trailer driving experience
  • Experience operating and backing 53’ dry vans
  • Ability to drive for extended periods
  • Open to travel up to 50% as needed
  • Ability to pass DOT drug screening, background check, MVR review, physical, and road test
  • Clean driving record with strong safety history
Driving Record Requirements
  • No more than 2 minor moving violations within the last 3 years
  • No serious traffic violations within the last 5 years
  • No DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving involving drugs/alcohol within the last 10 years
  • No preventable accidents within the last 3 years
  • No preventable DOT-recordable accidents within the last 10 years
Preferred Qualifications
  • Interest in driver-assistance systems and autonomous vehicle technology
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Team-oriented mindset and professional demeanor
