Job description

Performs vehicle communication systems testing, logging test coverage and product defects. This testing activity may take place in the field (at Independent Shops, Auto Dealerships and Auto Auctions) or in house dependent on the requirement of the project.

 

KEY TASKS

Perform in-field vehicle application testing for new products / primaries.

  • Daily recording of test details on standardized forms dependent on project.
  • Daily updating test matrices with tested vehicle information.
  • Daily data entry into bug tracking program.
  • Taking recordings of vehicle data when required by the project.
  • Escalating serious problems to appropriate management.
  • Interacting with in-house Applications and Engineering to explain details of problems found (when needed).
  • Maintaining good working relationships with field test sites.
  • Identifying additional test sites when possible.
REQUIREMENTS

·       Recent automotive diagnostic experience using scan tools

·       Experience with computer data entry

·       Good written and verbal communication skills

·       Experience using basic word processing and spreadsheet software

·       Basic computer user knowledge

Preferred:

·       AA degree in Automotive Technology

·       5 year experience as an automotive repair technician

·       Database data entry experience and general database knowledge

·       Automotive diagnostic software development or testing


This position has an hourly rate between $25.00 - $35.00

This is a temp/contract position up to 9 months
