Job description

Job Summary
The Overall purpose of this position is to assist with the business & operational activities of the Technical Activities Department. The Associate Business Analyst will provide business support and will be responsible for assisting with the creation of the Technical Activities and Future Directions budgets and forecasts as well as reporting of operational metrics for the TA department. Analysis, ad-hoc reporting, and knowledge of the Future Directions projects will also be required. This position will be expected to learn the NextGen systems and provide support to team members where needed. The role typically reports to the Manager TA Operations and has no direct reports. This position must be able to work independently in a deadline-oriented environment and be able to work on multiple projects concurrently.
This position is based in the Piscataway, NJ office and flexible for a hybrid (in-office and remote) work. We are also willing to consider full time telecommuting for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
  • Payment processing, tracking, and reportingo Responsible for all aspects of the automated invoice tracking process. Recommends improvements to the process.o Facilitate the submission/collection of all required forms (Invoices, Wire, etc.).o Aid the Dir TA Operations & Volunteer Svcs and Managers TA Operations with ad hoc reports.o Maintain and update the budgeted organization charts in Visio.o Update metrics in Smartsheet and upload files on the TA Operations website.
  • Financial tracking and reportingo Assist in tracking Technical Activities projects and the associated reporting.o Assist in development of the Technical Activities and Future Directions budgets and forecasts.o Validate received financial reports to ensure accuracy.
  • Service contact administrationo Processes and tracks Future Directions requisitions to ensure they are processed accurately and in a timely fashion.o Provides guidance to requestors on process flows and the proper documentation.o Tracks purchase order dollars to anticipate potential contract addendums or increases. When necessary, services will be competitively bid to obtain the best prices.o Responsible for the monthly requisition metric report provided to management.
