Position Summary:

The Quality Inspector is responsible for the inspection/testing of final assembly radios, the documentation of defects, data collection and reporting. The QA Inspector will work closely with the QA Manager to provide accurate reporting, charts, graphs etc. to monitor and improve product quality. The successful candidate must have the ability to work quickly and efficiently with a high level of precision, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be detailed oriented, have the ability to work independently, and be flexible to rapidly changing conditions.

This is a temporary position for up to six months.


Duties and Responsibilities:

oInspection and testing of incoming materials, sub-assemblies and in-process radios

oAbility to read and understand drawings, test procedures and work instructions

oAbility to use basic measurement tools.

oInspection of raw materials, sub-assemblies and finished product for form, fit and function in accordance to mechanical drawings, work instructions and procedures

oEnsure that non-conforming material is identified and segregated and reported

oProvide daily reports and input to assist in quality improvement activities

oDrive objectives and make judgment calls with safety, quality and performance always in mind

oAll duties as assigned by Supervisor


Requirements:

Knowledge & Skills:

oStrong Excel, Access, MS Word, Power Point, skills required

oExceptional verbal and written English communication skills

Qualifications:

oPrevious visual inspection and testing skills with the ability to use test and measuring equipment.

oAbility to read and interpret basic operating procedures, BOM, work instructions.

o Ability to complete visual inspection of raw materials, sub-assemblies and finished product

oStrong written and oral communication skills.

oAbility to lift up to 30 lbs.

oGood vision and/or corrected vision with ability to use micro-scopes and other visual aids.

oWork independently, and be flexible to rapidly changing conditions.


Working Conditions & Physical Demands:

oWork typically takes place in a normal office environment requiring

oSitting, walking, lifting, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, talking, hearing, and seeing

oOperating a PC and other office equipment

oTravel between floors and office buildings may be required
