This is a temporary assignment lasting 8-12 months with possibility of relocating with company. Job Summary: The Forklift Driver - Production sets up the production line by bringing all the materials needed for that specific run, as well as, putting away all finished goods in the warehouse. This includes documenting and scanning all materials, ingredients, apples used. Ultimately responsible for operating several different types and brands of forklifts in a safe manner. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operate forklifts to store/retrieve all materials related to production activities.Accurately and legibly complete paperwork necessary to complete duties.Use Barcode Scanning Equipment to document all material movements in and out of the production areas.Ensure that all products being put away are properly labeled, are in good condition, and are the correct product for the specified storage locationDocument all safety, quality, and production information as required and adhere to all safety, quality, and production rules, policies, and procedures.Communicate effectively with other team members on production lines, mechanics, and supervisors regarding safety, quality, and productivity issues related to driver activities.Maintain a clean and safe working area in accordance with Plant and GMP requirements.Perform regular safety checks of forklifts. Section for Food Safety Requirements/Responsibilities: Comply with all Plant, State and Federal OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF regulations.Comply with GMPs in the plant.Conduct all monitoring activities to assure finished product comply with food safety and quality specifications.Assist in the maintenance of Food Safety and Quality system.Manzana Food Products charges all employees with the responsibility to fully participate in all company policy and program initiatives for Food Legality, Food Safety, Food Quality and Food Defense; each employee, no matter their position or job function serves a key role in contributing to safe, quality food.Position will require overtime and weekend work, as needed, which may require you to come in early or stay late.Perform other duties as assigned or required.
