Job description

Hiring a Nurse Practitioner to join an Occupational health clinic in Hagerstown, MD. Please review the job description and apply if you are interested in this position!

Position: Nurse Practitioner - Occ. Health

Location: Hagerstown, MD 21742

Pay: $85/hr.

Duration: 07/24/26 to 09/04/26 (possible extension or Temp. to Perm.)

Schedule: 40 hours weekly, 3 pm - 11 pm (Mon - Fri) | No weekends or On-call requirements

Setting: Primary/Occupational health employee clinic

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts physical exams and preventive health measures per guidelines

  • Performs procedures such as injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management

  • Develops patient care plans, records progress, and ensures continuity of care

  • Educates patients on treatment plans, health maintenance, and development

  • Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess clinical conditions

  • Prescribes or recommends treatments, including medications and therapies

  • Refers patients to specialists or physicians as needed

  • Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation and records

  • Educates and coaches nursing staff on best practices

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) and Nurse Practitioner (NP) licenses.

  • Current DEA and state prescriptive authority (preferred).

  • Current BLS certification (AHA, ARC, or equivalent)

  • Minimum of 3 years of Nurse Practitioner experience in ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice, or emergency department settings.
