Job Responsibilities
Northeastern Technical College will be providing NCCER accredited training programs that provide people with the basic skills and confidence needed to pursue a career as a skilled craft professional. This instructor position provides ongoing classroom instruction and facilitation of a core curriculum to a class of adult learners. Training on curriculum will be provided. The instructor will aid in the growth of this program by delivering classroom instruction on an ongoing basis. Topics of the curriculum include: Basic Safety, Construction Math, Hand Tools, Power Tools, Construction Drawings, Communication Skills, Employability Skills, and Material Handling. Teaching will occur during the day and some evenings.
Adjunct position could be located at the Cheraw, Marlboro, Dillon, or Pageland Campus. Will be based on availability and need.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
High School Diploma or GED. Three (3) years of experience in industrial, construction or other technical trades, such as Millwright, Industrial Maintenance Technician, Electrician, Instrumentation Technician, general construction or in project management. Equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Completion of an NCCER trade training with level 1 and level 2 may be considered in lieu of work experience. Must have a valid driver's license.
