Purpose of the Job

As an Air Freight Specialist at Aramex, you will be the primary point of contact for clients regarding air freight inquiries. Your role is pivotal in maintaining strong client relationships, while also delivering tailored freight solutions to meet their specific needs. You will play a crucial part in procuring competitive rates, managing shipments from start to finish, and supporting the sales team in securing new business opportunities.

  • Provide comprehensive air freight solutions to clients, addressing their specific requirements and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with clients to foster loyalty and retention.
  • Assist clients in resolving any claims, payment issues, or pending shipments promptly and efficiently.
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of air freight shipments, ensuring timely and efficient execution from booking to delivery.
  • Support the sales team by providing accurate quotes and actively following up on business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to coordinate air freight logistics effectively.
  • Negotiate competitive rates with carriers, agents, and offices to secure the best pricing for clients.

Job Requirements - Experience and Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
  • 3-4 years of relevant experience in the air freight forwarding industry, with a strong understanding of global trade lanes, airlines, and air freight solutions.
  • Proven experience in customer service and managing key business clients, as well as negotiating rates with the airlines.
  • Familiarity with CargoWise is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written communication skills, particularly in crafting professional emails
