The HVAC Installer reports to the Project Foreman and is responsible for performing a range of HVAC installation jobs for industrial and commercial projects. HVAC Construction requires individual possessing traits of decisiveness, initiative, tact, judgment, integrity, dependability, and the ability to communicate in a technically credible manner. AireStream Mechanical, Inc. is quickly growing and looking for new Commercial HVAC installers to start ASAP. Representative duties include:
  • Serving as a member of ad hoc Installation Department teams which are organized to conduct HVAC installation jobs in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Performing routine HVAC installation activities without direct oversight or on-site assistance.
  • Assisting the Project Foreman in training of new Airestream Mechanical, Inc. employees on installation related subjects, including callback prevention and installation protocols.
  • Conducting non-installation work in support of the Service Department, as assigned.
  • Performing related duties as directed by the Project Foreman. Such as:
  • Install new commercial air conditioning systems
  • Perform repairs/replacements
  • Install ductwork, thermostats, control wiring
  • Install linesets, brazing, pressure testing
  • Install commercial kitchen hoods, grease duct
  • Abide by all safety procedures
  • Some travel required - per diem and hotels provided

Job Qualifications:
  • High school graduate
  • Must have valid Drivers License
  • Recommended- graduate of a post-secondary HVACR program of instruction of two or more years in duration.
  • Five or more years of successful and full-time HVACR experience, as a commercial installation technician.
  • Good oral and reading skills, including the ability to read and apply manufacturers' installation instructions and clearly communicate with commercial, and industrial customers, suppliers, and other Airestream Mechanical, Inc. employees.
  • Physical ability to perform all duties noted above under the conditions, circumstances, and extreme weather conditions existent in California.
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Interest and initiative in maintaining his/her HVACR skills through a combination of self-study, company training, manufacturers' workshops, and other professional development activities.
  • Ability to work efficiently given time pressures, non-standard schedule, extreme weather conditions, varying customer needs and demands, and backlog constraints.
  • Can independently prioritize and multitask
  • Take direction from supervisors well and apply suggested improvements to performance

Compensation: $30.00 - $36.00 per hour
