Job Title: Facilities Technician

Job Description

We are hiring a Facilities Technician to support building maintenance and repairs. This role focuses on preventative maintenance, basic repairs, and ensuring facilities run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks
• Maintain and troubleshoot HVAC systems
• Repair and replace equipment, fixtures, and building components
• Use basic tools and technology (iPad, computer, etc.)
• Respond to and resolve maintenance issues
• Support general building and grounds maintenance
• Follow safety procedures and maintain clean work areas

Requirements:

• At least 6+ months of maintenance experience (commercial, hotels, or similar)
• Basic skills in plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Comfortable using basic technology

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in building or hotel maintenance
• Knowledge of HVAC systems (rooftop units, VAV boxes)
• Experience with preventative maintenance

Work Environment:

• Indoor and outdoor building maintenance
• Customer-facing role in residential or hospitality settings

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Washington, DC.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
