Job Summary
Job Description: Director of Math Corps-Dearborn
The Department of Mathematics & Statistics at the University of Michigan-Dearborn invites applications for the Director position at the 2026 Math Corps UM-Dearborn summer camp. The successful applicant will possess strong organizational skills, experience in K-12 outreach activities, and experience teaching middle and high school STEM subjects.
Responsibilities*
  • Oversee the planning and execution of the Math Corps summer camp, ensuring a high-quality educational experience for all participants.
  • Manage and mentor teams of college, middle school, and high school students.
  • Monitor student progress, grade assignments, and maintain accurate records of student performance.
  • Supervise students during afternoon activities and ensure their safety and well-being during arrival and dismissal.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress and camp activities.
  • Evaluate the program's effectiveness and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with university policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulations and standards.

Modes of Work

Work Schedule
Camp will run Mondays through Fridays from 8:30AM - 4:30PM. The camp dates are Monday, July 6th through Thursday, August 6th.
