ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Chestertown, Maryland.

3x12 hour night shifts (19:00 - 07:30), with every other weekend and holiday required.

Job Description

We are seeking a competent and proficient Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our fast-paced ER team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to a diverse patient population ranging from newborns to geriatric patients in a high-volume environment. The clinician must be adept at managing patient ratios of 1:4, with the possibility of 1:5 for lower acuity cases.

Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to patients in an emergency department setting.
  • Manage a patient ratio of 1:4, up to 1:5.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient management and care planning.
  • Perform necessary medical procedures and treatments as directed.
  • Utilize the EPIC documentation system for accurate record-keeping.
  • Participate in department rounds and contribute to patient assessments.
  • Float to other SRH locations as needed based on departmental demands.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Minimum of 1 year of ER nursing experience required; first-time travelers accepted, but preference for candidates with travel experience.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or compact state required.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI certifications required; NRP and TNCC preferred.
  • Prior charge experience preferred.
  • Experience with a patient ratio of 4 required.
  • Must be comfortable floating within scope as necessary.
