Registered Nurse - Neuro Trauma ICU / Surgical ICU
Location: Chico, California
Pay Rate: $70-$72/hr
Contract: 13 weeks
Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts
Total Working Hours per week: 36 hours
Experience: Minimum 5 years
About the Role
We are hiring an experienced Registered Nurse - Neuro Trauma ICU / Surgical ICU for a 13-week day shift assignment in Chico, CA. This role supports a Level II Trauma NT/SICU unit with a 12-bed, 2:1 patient ratio, specializing in neuro and trauma patients. The nurse must be confident caring for high-acuity critical care patients and willing to float as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care in a Neuro Trauma/Surgical ICU setting.
  • Care for neuro, trauma, and high-acuity critical care patients.
  • Manage patients with ICP monitors, CRRT, and lumbar drains.
  • Monitor patient condition and respond quickly to clinical changes.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and critical care interventions.
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams.
  • Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC.
  • Float to CVU, Telemetry Care Unit, ICU/CCU, or Med/Surg units as needed.
  • Follow Level II trauma, safety, and infection control standards.
  • Support holiday coverage as required.
Requirements
  • Active California Registered Nurse license required.
  • Minimum 5 years of acute critical care experience required.
  • Level II trauma critical care experience required.
  • Neuro ICU, SICU, or ICU experience required.
  • BLS required.
  • ACLS required.
  • EPIC charting experience required.
  • Previous travel nursing experience required.
  • Must be willing to float as needed.
  • Must be a W-2 employee of the submitting agency.
