 What You will Do:

  • Primary: Coordinate (Project Manage) the Planning, Inspection, and Creation of multiple First Article Inspection Report package builds (AS-9102 Rev C based FAIRs) at our customer's manufacturing site in New Port Richey, Florida.  Ensure these FAIR packages meet stated requirements, including particulars of each end customer's format and submittal methodologies.  Oversee, resolve/escalate, and report on workflow/content issues that arise during FAIR package builds.  Coordination includes timely submittals of completed FAIR packages as well as ensuring any additional corrections received back are processed in an efficient and timely manner.   Completion of task is receipt of Final Approval.  In all, track work against provided and prioritized schedules and due dates.  Provide/Present Technical WIP Status Reports routinely.
  • Secondary: Assist others in building First Article Inspection Report (FAIR) packages (Forms 1, 2, and 3), per customer and AS9102-Rev C requirements using DISCUS, Net-Inspect, or similar software, into various internet-based supplier portals for final review / approval.  FAI's are for hardware associated with military and commercial Aerospace/Defense Industry products - often Aero-engine related.
  • Secondary: Assist Inspection team with dimensional and/or visual inspections.  Inspection utilizes a combination of manual, semi-automated, and advanced metrology (CMM) equipment capable of meeting stated quality requirements.
  • Spot, segregate, and document Non-Conforming Material when encountered.
  • Interact w/ multiple computer systems / software
  • Collaboratively engage daily with your Project / Team leader, Peers, and Customer.
  • Alternatively: Conduct similar Quality Engineering work (to above) in other aspects of part qualification mngt, and/or areas of non-conformance mngt, Quality Management System involvement, or Continuous Improvement/Development oversight.

What You Will Bring:

Experience

  • BS Technical Degree - preferred
  • Minimum 9+ years relevant experience to role
  • Alternate: 12+ years relevant experience to role with AS / no / non-tech degree
  • Other Technical Certifications (DQR, CQE, Audit, Lean/Six Sigma, etc.) - noteworthy

Required Skills (Technical Competency) / Attributes:

  • Technical project oversight/management (preferably including A&D industry; Military).
  • Creation of AS9102- Rev C First Article Inspection Report (FAIR) packages.
  • Reading and applying Blueprints / GD&T / Other Quality Requirements to task.
  • Able to aid in inspection planning, gage selection, set-up, and/or part inspection.
  • Able to verify inspection data as being accurate and complete to requirements.
  • Reviewing, comprehending, and compiling technical data.
  • Creating/Reviewing PPAP and/or MRL packages (Noteworthy, but not required).
  • Leading formal Root Cause / Corrective Action team projects.
  • Conducting Audits.
  • Prior roles w/ reporting responsibilities, requirements, metrics.
  • Excel / PowerPoint / Outlook - advanced user.
  • Interact w/ MRP/ERP systems.
  • Operating in procedure based and regulatory controlled environments.
  • Problem solving - including use of statistical based tools, analysis, and reporting.
  • Leading / Training / Reviewing the work of others.

Pay Range: $29-39/Hr USD.  This is a 1st shift M-F F/T - Temporary role till end of year (2026).  40 hrs/wk w/ potential OT offered.  Possible extension or permanent work in relatable work to follow.

Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure.  

Work Requirements:

This role is considered an on-site position located in New Port Richey, FL. USA

  • You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours. 
  • Shop floor/Distribution site environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking/standing, and ability to lift 40 lbs. at times.
  • Use of PPE (where required)

Travel requirements: No/Minimal additional travel is required.

Citizenship requirement: Due to the nature of the work, "U.S Citizen" status is required.
