Title: Sr Accountant- Fixed Assets - Hybrid 
Location: Knoxville, TN, must be onsite Monday-Thursday (Remote on Friday)
Duration: 6 Months (Possible temp-to-hire position)

Job Description:

The Senior Accountant – Fixed Assets is responsible for supporting the preparation of financial statements, maintaining fixed asset accounting processes, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This role plays a key part in strengthening internal controls, supporting audits, and driving continuous improvement across accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Record and validate journal entries related to fixed assets and general ledger activity.
  • Maintain and reconcile fixed asset subledgers and related financial systems.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders across finance, operations, and corporate teams.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, providing documentation and analysis.
  • Drive process improvements and automation within accounting workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed.
Qualifications (Required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business (Accounting concentration preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office tools
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA or CPA-eligible is strongly preferred
  • Experience in fixed assets accounting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to work independently and proactively resolve issues
