Job Description
Hamilton Connections is seeking candidates for material handler positions at a manufacturing company in Danbury, CT. These are temp-to-hire positions.
The first shift is 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. The salary is $21 an hour.
The second shift is 3:30 p.m.-12 a.m., Monday-Friday. The salary is $23 an hour.
The third shift is 10:30 p.m.-7 a.m., Sunday-Thursday. Training may be required on the first or second shift. The salary is $25 an hour.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Moving material in and out of pallet racks using forklifts
  • Moving needed materials on time to assemblers using a forklift
  • Making labels using MS Word label program
  • Taking waste cardboard and lumber to dumpsters
  • Assembling and reassembling pallet racks and shelves as needed
  • Taking special inventory counts for the buyer or planner
  • Packing actuators when needed
  • Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
  • Forklift experience and previous certification
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of weighing scales
  • Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse environment
  • Knowledge to do weigh counts
  • Organization skills to get proper parts to assemblers on time
  • Reading and writing skills necessary for making and reading labels
  • Ability to handle physical aspects of the job, including lifting up to 70 lbs.
  • Able to read and write in English
  • Able to work overtime as needed
  • Able to pass pre-employment screenings
