Job description

Description:

Falken Industries is seeking a Special Security Officer (SSO) with an active Top Secret/SCI clearance to support a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) in Honolulu, Hawaii. This is a full-time, on-site position managing all aspects of SCI security compliance, accreditation, and operations in accordance with ICD 705, DoD, and ICD 705 directives.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all SCI security matters.
  • Manage and maintain SCIF accreditation documentation and compliance with ICD/ICS 705 standards.
  • Oversee physical, personnel, technical, and procedural security functions.
  • Validate and process SCI access requests, manage visitor certifications, and maintain records in the Integrated Security Management System (ISMS).
  • Conduct SCI indoctrinations, debriefings, and security briefings for personnel.
  • Administer the Industrial Security Program for the district, ensuring contracts and solicitations include appropriate security clauses.
  • Manage Intrusion Detection System (IDS) alarms, alarm testing, and vendor coordination.
  • Track and maintain GSA containers, SCIF door combinations, and related accountability paperwork.
  • Ensure proper handling, safeguarding, transmission, and destruction of SCI material.
  • Prepare and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Emergency Action Plans (EAPs).
  • Support security inspections, compliance reviews, and visits from accrediting authorities.
Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizen with active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in SCI/SCIF security, intelligence, counterintelligence, or related fields.
  • Direct experience as a Physical Security SSO with knowledge of ICD/ICS 705 requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience on at least three (3) SCIF projects under ICD 705.
  • Strong knowledge of physical, technical, TEMPEST, and AIS security requirements.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills with government and contractor personnel.
Preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Security, Intelligence, or related field ( preferred)
  • DoD Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) and Security Asset Protection Professional Certification (SAPPC) (or ability to obtain within 2 years).
  • ASIS International Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or equivalent.


Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary range: $120,000 – $140,000 per year (based on experience and qualifications).

    Position is for 12 months with possibility of extension for up to 3 years.
