Primary Purpose:
Identifies, screens, and enrolls individuals to participate in medical studies for new treatments, drugs, or devices to ensure they match the study's strict guidelines.
Job Category: Non-Exempt

Essential Job Functions:
1. Acts as the primary liaison between the medical team and participants to ensure ethical enrollment practices.
2. Reviews strict medical criteria (inclusion/exclusion rules) to understand exactly who qualifies for the trial.
3. Coordinates with physicians, uses databases, social media, flyers and local outreach to locate prospective participants.
4. Conducts initial medical interviews and chart reviews to verify medical history, age, medications, and health status against study protocols.
5. Educates candidates and their families on the study's purpose, trial risks, benefits, and timeline during the official consent process.
6. Books qualified candidates for in-person medical screenings.
7. Logs call details, candidate interest, and enrollment progress in a clinical trial management system.
8. Maintains regular contact with enrolled patients to ensure they attend appointments and stay compliant with the study protocol.
9. Tracks applicant files, updates databases, and protects private participant data under HIPPA regulations.
10. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Job Requirements:

1. Knowledge of basic medical terminology, chronic illnesses, and medications.
