Job description

Mission

Waséyabek Federal Services, LLC (WFS) is a subsidiary of Waséyabek Development Company, LLC (WDC), providing services to the Federal marketplace. WDC is a legal entity, created and wholly owned by the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi (NHBP), a Federally recognized Indian Tribe. WDC is committed to fostering the development of a stable, diversified economy for members of the Band which will contribute to their long-term wealth and economic self-sufficiency while managing risk and creating quality employment opportunities. 


Position Summary

Performs physical tasks to unload, transport, or store materials or equipment. Provides operational support to maintenance personnel by assisting with inspections, order and retrieval parts, housekeeping, and administrative reporting. Maintains compliance with established safety standards and organizational procedures.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manually load, transport and unload materials, equipment, and supplies from cars, trucks, and trailers safely and efficiently.
  • Ability to safely load, pull, and back a light duty trailer.
  • Order, unpack and organize incoming materials, placing items in designated storage locations Operate company vehicles to transport materials and equipment between facilities and off-site locations as needed. 
  • Conduct life safety monthly inspections in accordance with NFPA 10 standards and document findings. Perform monthly inspections of contract vehicles. 
  • Assist with preparing and reviewing monthly reports by entering data, verifying information for accuracy, and organizing records. 
  • Perform other related duties and special projects assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.  
  • Minimum of two (2) years of related material handling, warehouse, maintenance support, or logistics experience. Must be self-motivated, reliable, and work with minimal supervision. 
  • Must have strong organizational skills, attention to detail for accuracy, and proficient computer skills.
  • Must possess a valid state’s driver’s license and have and maintain a good driving record. Motor Vehicle Records will be ordered and checked as part of pre-employment screening. 
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen. 
  • Ability to pass a background investigation, including but not limited to nationwide criminal record search, and other relevant background information deemed necessary by the contract. 
  • United States citizenship is required to work on a federal contract and will be electronically verified via E-Verify. 
  • Position is subject to the Service Contract Act of 1965. 


Physcial Requirements and Work Requirements

The employee may be required to stand and reach for extended periods of time. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. 


Travel

Travel in company vehicle required with this position to pick up parts/materials/equipment from local vendors in the 2-state area (GA/SC).
