Hematology - Oncology Physician
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Pay Rate: $388.00 - $420.00

This facility is seeking a Hematology and Oncology Physician for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.


Details and requirements for this opportunity:


  • Schedule: Scheduled clinical hours plus in-house call; ongoing coverage beginning January 4, 2027. Call response time is 30 minutes. Specific shift schedule not provided.
  • Practice Setting: Inpatient; coverage at Eskenazi Health and IU Health University Hospital. Rounding on assigned patients.
  • Type of cases and required procedures: Inpatient Hematology and Oncology cases. Management of hematology/oncology patients with daily rounding. Approximately 10-15 patients per shift.
  • Credentialing timeframe: Approximately 90 days; temporary privileges available.
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Cerner.
  • Certifications required: Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Basic Life Support (BLS). Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are not required.
  • Licensure required: Active Indiana license or eligibility through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).
