Job description

Job Summary
The Department of Health and Human Services invites applications for a Grader for HHS 205, Intro to Health Professions. The grader works under the direction of the course instructor to grade student assignments and in-class activities accurately and in a timely manner.
Responsibilities*
  • Grade assignments as directed by the instructor, using provided rubrics and guidelines
  • Enter grades accurately and promptly in Canvas
  • Attend HHS 205 class sessions weekly (Mondays, 2:00 - 4:45 PM, Fall semester) attendance is mandatory
  • Maintain confidentiality of student records and grades
  • Communicate with the instructor regarding grading questions or discrepancies
  • Meet weekly with instructor to plan grading and class activities

Required Qualifications*
  • Current UM-Dearborn student with junior or senior standing
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Strong working knowledge of Canvas
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to apply grading policies and procedures consistently and fairly
  • Must be available to attend HHS 205 in person every Monday, 2:00 - 4:45 PM, for the full Fall semester

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior coursework in health professions or related HHS coursework
  • Prior grading, tutoring, or TA experience a plus
