Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU (Travel, Temp-to-Perm)

  • Assignment Type: Temp-to-Perm (Temp)
  • Length: 13 weeks
  • Location: Grapevine, TX
  • Travel: Yes
  • Shift: Nights | 18:45–07:15
  • On-Call: Yes
  • Weekends/Float: Variable, every other weekend | May float to ER or PCU as needed
  • Interview: 1 virtual interview
  • Scrubs: Navy Blue
  • Patient Ratio: 1:1 or 3:1 (unit/acuity dependent)
Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver safe, patient-centered critical care using the nursing process. This role requires strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and comfort caring for high-acuity patients in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive assessments and prioritize patient needs in the ICU setting
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
  • Administer medications and treatments per provider orders and established protocols
  • Monitor for clinical changes and communicate promptly with providers and the care team
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EPIC)
  • Provide patient and family education and support across the care continuum
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate safe transitions of care
  • Uphold patient privacy, confidentiality, and professional nursing standards
  • Participate in quality improvement and support evidence-based practice
Required Qualifications
  • Active RN license (Texas or compact, as applicable)
  • BLS and ACLS (current)
  • EPIC experience required
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
  • Ability to work nights, take call, and meet weekend/float requirements
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong critical thinking and rapid clinical decision-making
  • Excellent communication and documentation
  • Comfortable with high-acuity patient management and changing priorities
  • Team-oriented, dependable, and adaptable to floating when needed
