Job Overview
AMMON Staffing is hiring a Warehouse Associate for an opportunity with an extremely well-established logistics warehouse client in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
This warehouse supports clients in the petrochemical industry and requires dependable warehouse associates with prior logistics warehouse experience. This position is a good fit for candidates with forklift experience, dock loading experience, and a strong work ethic.
Employees will begin at $12.00 per hour during the training/certification period. After successfully completing required training and certification, employees may receive an increase in pay based on certification completion, experience, performance, attendance, and client requirements.
These positions are possible temp-to-hire opportunities based on business needs, performance, attendance, and overall fit.
Job Responsibilities
The Warehouse Associate will work in a logistics warehouse environment and assist with daily warehouse operations, including:
  • Operating a forklift safely and efficiently after proper training/certification
  • Loading and unloading 18-wheelers from a warehouse dock
  • Moving, staging, and organizing products throughout the warehouse
  • Assisting with packing and repacking product as needed
  • Supporting shipping, receiving, and general warehouse operations
  • Following warehouse safety procedures and client worksite requirements
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Reporting to work on time and maintaining dependable attendance
  • Working overtime as needed based on business needs
Job Requirements
Qualified candidates must meet the following requirements:
  • Prior experience working in a logistics warehouse is required
  • Forklift operating experience is strongly preferred
  • Experience loading and unloading 18-wheelers from a dock is required
  • Must be willing and able to complete required training/certification
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must have steel toe boots
  • Must be dependable and able to report to work as scheduled
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen
  • Must be able to pass a background check
