Join a modern heat-treating facility as a 1st Shift Maintenance Technician. Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on furnaces and production equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Diagnose basic PLC issues and minimize equipment downtime.
- Safely work with 3-phase and 480V electrical systems.
- Complete maintenance documentation and PM records.
- Support equipment repairs, facility maintenance, and occasional welding tasks.
- Collaborate with production teams to prioritize and resolve maintenance needs.
Essential Skills
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Experience with 3-phase and 480V systems.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs.
- Familiarity with pneumatics, hydraulics, and machine troubleshooting.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications
- PLC troubleshooting experience.
- Furnace or heat-treating equipment experience.
- Basic welding skills.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.

Work Environment
Work in a clean, well-maintained heat-treating facility equipped with vacuum furnaces and quench systems. The environment can be warm due to high-temperature equipment and requires adherence to safety procedures and PPE requirements.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Davenport, IA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
