Job description

The Iron County School District is seeking MULTIPLE Part Time Mobile Behavior Technician's to work 27.5 hours per week beginning in August for the 2026-2027 school year. This position will remain open until filled.
The Mobile Behavior Technician is a member of a district-level Mobile Behavior Team that provides targeted, short-term, and intensive behavior support across multiple school sites. Behavior Interventionists work under the direct supervision of a BCBA to implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs), collect data, support skill acquisition, and assist school teams in responding effectively to complex student behavior. This role is designed to stabilize behavior, build staff capacity, and support students in accessing instruction in the least restrictive environment.



  • Implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) with fidelity across school settings (classroom, hallway, playground, bus, etc.).
  • Provide 1:1 behavior support as assigned.
  • Support skill development related to:
    • Emotional regulation
    • Functional communication
      Compliance with routines and expectations
    • Replacement behaviors aligned with student needs
  • Respond to challenging behavior using evidence-based, trauma-informed, and applied behavior analysis strategies.
  • Assist with de-escalation, crisis response, and Emergency Safety Interventions in accordance with district policy and training.
  • Support transitions between settings, classrooms, or programs.
  • Collect accurate and objective behavior data as directed by the supervising BCBA.
  • Track frequency, duration, intensity, and/or ABC data as required.
  • Maintain daily service logs and documentation.
  • Communicate relevant observations to the BCBA and school team in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and administrators to support consistent implementation of behavior strategies.
  • Model behavior support strategies for classroom staff when appropriate.
  • Participate in team meetings, trainings, and debriefs as required.
  • Provide feedback to the BCBA regarding student response to intervention.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Follow BCBA-developed intervention plans and protocols.
  • Assist with implementation of PBIS/MTSS Tier 2 and Tier 3 supports.
  • Role does not include independent assessment, diagnosis, or plan development.
  • Travel between assigned schools within the district as scheduled.
  • Adapt to varying school environments, schedules, and student needs.
  • Provide temporary or rotating support based on district priorities.
  • Maintain flexibility and professionalism while working across multiple teams.
  • Work occurs across multiple school sites.
  • May involve physically active duties and exposure to challenging behavior.
  • Requires adherence to district safety procedures and training.
  • Ongoing training and supervision provided by a BCBA.
  • Regular performance feedback and professional development opportunities.
