Floor Care Technician Duties and Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain tile floors in commercial environments (offices, schools, hospitals, retail spaces)
- Operate commercial-grade equipment such as auto scrubbers, buffers, burnishers, and wet/dry vacuums
- Perform carpet cleaning using truck-mount systems and other heavy-duty equipment
- Complete grout cleaning, floor stripping, sealing, and waxing as needed
- Follow all safety procedures and proper chemical handling guidelines
- Identify and report floor damage or maintenance needs
- Ensure all work areas are clean, safe, and presentable
Floor Care Technician Qualifications and Requirements
- Proven experience with heavy-duty cleaning equipment, including truck-mount carpet cleaning systems (required)
- Experience with commercial floor care (tile, grout, stripping, waxing, etc.)
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, floor finishes, and safe handling procedures
