Job Description

This role involves operating small, custom desktop machines to produce plastic components for medical devices in a clean and pleasant manufacturing environment. You will perform hands-on production work, support quality and documentation activities, and contribute to general operational tasks typical of a small, entrepreneurial organization.

Responsibilities

  • Run manufacturing processes using small desktop machines to produce plastic parts for medical devices.
  • Conduct in-process inspections and accurately document inspection results according to established procedures.
  • Complete all required training records in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assist in the documentation of new products, including recording process details and supporting documentation updates.
  • Perform packaging and labeling of finished products, ensuring accuracy and compliance with medical device standards.
  • Carry out associated tasks related to packaging and labeling, such as preparing materials and organizing finished goods.
  • Support general operating tasks in a small, entrepreneurial environment, including breaking down boxes, sweeping and tidying the work area, and maintaining clean and organized workspaces.
  • Use basic inspection tools to verify product quality and ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Work under a microscope when required to assemble or inspect small components.
  • Follow standard protocols related to medical device manufacturing, including adherence to documented procedures and quality requirements.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to operate production and assembly equipment, including small desktop machines for plastic part manufacturing.
  • Experience or aptitude in production, assembly, and machine operation in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to perform packaging tasks, including labeling and packing products accurately.
  • Capability to use basic inspection tools; training can be provided.
  • Ability to read and write in English to follow work instructions and complete documentation.
  • Good manual dexterity for handling small parts and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Capability to complete repetitive tasks with consistency and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under a microscope for assembly or inspection of small components.
  • Willingness to follow standard protocols for medical device manufacturing, including adherence to dress code and personal grooming requirements.
  • Comfort working in a cleanroom or clean manufacturing environment that follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
