Job Description
Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking an Industrial Sewing Machine Operator for a long-term position with a manufacturing company located in North Portland. The person in this position will use industrial sewing equipment to produce curtains and drapery for theaters and performing art centers nation wide.
Pay: $17-$21/hr
Industrial Sewing Machine Operator Responsibilities:
  • Operate industrial sewing machines to assemble and finish drapery products according to specifications and design requirements.
  • Cut fabric accurately to ensure proper dimensions and alignment.
  • Seam, hem, and finish drapery panels with precision and attention to detail.
  • Work with a variety of fabric types, including velvet, silk, and heavy-duty flame-resistant materials.
  • Collaborate closely with the production team to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
  • Inspect finished products for quality and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
  • Maintain sewing machines and equipment to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Industrial Sewing Machine Operator Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an industrial sewing worker or similar role
