Job description

Hiring Manual Bridgeport Mill Operator – 2nd Shift | Centennial, COBuild Precision Components. Take Pride in Your Craft. Experience not required.

Are you a skilled machinist who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in producing high-quality parts? We're looking for a Manual Bridgeport Mill Operator to join our growing team on 2nd shift. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to advance their machining career and who thrives in a job-shop environment, enjoys working from blueprints, and understands the basics to machine operation. You'll be part of a highly skilled team where your knowledge, attention to detail, and craftsmanship are valued every day.

Shift & Pay:
  • Shift: 2nd, Monday-Friday, 3:00pm-11:00pm
  • Training will be on 1st shift for about 4 weeks
  • Pay: $22.00-$44.00/hour (Based on experience/Opportunity for advancement)

Job Description:
  • Set up and operate manual Bridgeport milling machine to manufacture precision components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and work orders.
  • Machine parts to tight tolerances using precision measuring equipment.
  • Perform drilling, tapping, boring, milling, and surface finishing operations.
  • Select proper tooling, speeds, feeds, and machining methods for a variety of materials.
  • Conduct equipment setups and make adjustments to maintain part quality.
  • Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, indicators, gauges, and other inspection tools.
  • Perform rework and modification of existing components as needed.
  • Support occasional manual lathe, grinder, or fabrication work when required.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area.
  • Lift and move materials up to 50 lbs as part of daily operations.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience operating industrial machines in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
  • Experience operating manual Bridgeport mills or other manual equipment is a plus.
  • Overhead crane operating experience is a plus.
  • Experience holding tight tolerances and producing high-quality precision parts.
  • Proficiency with precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gauges.
  • Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling selection, feeds, and speeds.
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving abilities.

Pay and Benefits
