  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in the laboratory.
  • Partner with other lab technicians on shift to coordinate testing and share information.

You will work in a satellite laboratory building separate from the mill and will frequently transport samples between the mill and the lab, including carrying bags of salt and going up and down approximately three flights of stairs multiple times per day or week. The position involves significant standing, walking, lifting, and stair climbing. Training lasts up to 4 weeks depending on how quickly you learn the processes. The training schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with work every other Saturday. After training, you will often work independently in the lab. The company offers 80 hours of paid time off and an additional 6 days of holiday pay. Holiday pay applies to those not scheduled to work on the holiday; those scheduled to work on holidays receive normal pay for those days. A uniform is provided a few weeks after you start.
