Emergency Relief Veterinarian – Idaho Falls, ID (High Pay + Flexible Scheduling)

Your Role

As a Relief Emergency Veterinarian, you will provide high quality medical and surgical care for small animal emergency cases. You’ll work independently with strong technician support and collaborate with the clinic team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive exams, diagnostics, treatments and preventive care for small animal emergency paitents.

  • Utilize digital radiography, dental radiography, ultrasound, and inhouse lab equipment

  • Administer anesthesia and perform soft tissue surgeries

  • Manage urgent and emergency cases with confidence and compassion

  • Communicate clearly with clients, collaborate with support staff and document patient care accurately and efficiently.

Shift Options

We offer multiple shift types so you can choose what fits your schedule:

  • Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM

  • Swing Shift: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM

  • Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 7:00 AM (optional — only if you want them)

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) with active veterinary license

  • Experience in small animal emergency medicine

  • Proficiency in radiography, ultrasound, anesthesia, and soft tissue surgery

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently

  • Comfortable in a fastpaced emergency environment
