Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Create / produce information models related to project definition or updates during the construction phase.
  • Update information models to reflect changes occurring in the asset during the operational phase.
  • Develop information models according to the BIM uses requested by the appointing party. 
  • Prepare BIM models for coordination with other stakeholders, following the guidelines of the project’s BIM coordinators 

and client requirements.

  • Resolve assigned clashes and coordination issues.
  • Report coordination issues for further review. (RFI) 
  • Prepare documentation required to meet deliverables related to both development and operational phase processes.

  • Develop and maintain both graphical and non-graphical models in accordance with the project standards. 
  • Prepare information models for sharing with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Produce project outputs derived from graphical and non-graphical models. 
  • Review outputs to address clashes: maintain ongoing communication with the BIM Coordinator and participate in BIM 

coordination and technology meetings.

  • Reference other shared models to ensure design coordination and avoid conflicts.
  • Comply with modeling standards and conventions defined in the BIM Execution Plan (BEP), including naming, coding, and 

data structure requirements.

  • Use Common Data Environments (CDE) to upload, extract, and coordinate information, following established protocols. 
  • Maintain up-to-date records of model revisions and versions, ensuring traceability of changes. 
  • Apply quality reviews and technical validation before sharing models with other disciplines. 
  • Coordinate with the Discipline Lead or Project Manager to align model development with the overall schedule and delivery 

milestones.

  • Support the generation of both graphical and non-graphical documentation (drawings, reports, quantity take-offs, etc.) 

derived from the model, in agreed formats.

  • Participate in training, feedback sessions, or continuous improvement initiatives related to BIM processes within the team.
