Central Maine Healthcare (CMH), a member of Prime Healthcare Foundation, is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving approximately 400,000 residents across central, western, and midcoast Maine through a network of more than 40 primary and specialty care locations. The system includes Central Maine Medical Center (CMMC) in Lewiston, a 250-bed, not-for-profit regional referral hospital that is home to the region's only Cancer Care Center, an orthopedic ambulatory surgery center, and the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute. ResponsibilitiesThe Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) new graduate is an entry-level clinical role designed for new graduate respiratory therapists. Under the direction of a licensed physician and departmental leadership, the RCP new graduate provides basic respiratory care procedures and participates in the assessment, treatment, and monitoring of patients with cardiopulmonary disorders. This role supports safe, high-quality, and evidence-based care while progressing toward full licensure and independent practice.
QualificationsEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
Graduate of a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Therapy program.Eligible to sit for the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) credentialing exams.Holds a Temporary Respiratory Therapist License from the Maine Board of Respiratory Care Practitioners.4. Basic Life Support (BLS) certified from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) upon hire and maintain current.
5. Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the AHA or ARC certification to be obtained three (3) months of hire.
6. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the AHA certification preferred.
7. Neonatal Resuscitation Program certificate is preferred.
8. Associate degree required.
9. Achievement of CRT or RRT credential through NBRC within three (3) months of hire.

Pay TransparencyCentral Maine Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $25.00 to $27.35 per hour. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
