Provide teaching lessons for the Cumming Aerospace Engineering Camp from June 15 - 26, 2026
Job Description
UNCP is seeking instructors to plan and deliver engaging, hands-on lessons for Cummings Aerospace Engineering Camp this summer. The instructors should ensure a safe and fun learning environment for campers and foster their curiosity and interest in STEM fields.
Responsibilities and skills
Maintain a safe and positive learning environment for all campers.
Supervise campers during activities and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
Collaborate with other camp staff to ensure smooth program execution.
Possess a strong understanding of aerospace concepts, including engineering, 3D printing, rocketry, coding, robotics.
Be proficient in using educational technology and simulations.
Have excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Have experience with classroom management and implementing lesson plans.
Experience working with middle and high school students in an educational or recreational setting.
Experience using some or all of the following technology:
TinkerCAD, Flashprint, Open Rocket software, Python, Code.org, Microsoft Visual Studio Code with the Python extension, Machine Learning/Video Game Design, Google Teachable Machine, MIT Playground Raise, Mbot Software.
Management Preference
Experience with camp teaching preferred
Lic or Certification required by statute or regulation
