WIN is part of the ISR/SOF Directorate (AFLCMC/WI), responsible for equipping warfighters with ISR & SOF platforms and subsystems through acquisition, production, test, modification, fielding, and sustainment.

This blended role emphasizes a journeyman (midlevel) candidate who brings practical, handson experience evaluating aircraft airworthiness to support flighttest readiness and operational clearance activities in a DoD environment. The ISR/SOF Directorate has the collective Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) mission responsibility for equipping ISR & SOF warfighters to dominate the battlespace.

This is a full-time position onsite at Wright-Patt Air Force Base, Ohio.

Duties include, but not limited to:

    • Assist in drafting program documentation (SOOs, SOWs, SEP, lifecycle management plans), schedules, program plans, and presentations.
    • Review contractor deliverables and provide technical comments and recommendations.
    • Support test teams: assist in development and review of test requirements, test plans, and Test & Evaluation Master Plans (TEMP/TTMP).
    • Support evaluation of IMP, IMS, SEDS, and engineering cost estimates; participate in engineering tradeoff studies (performance, cost, schedule, risk).
    • Provide systems/subsystems integration support during acquisition, development, verification, and test activities.
    • Perform handson airworthiness activities to support flight clearance decisions: verify compliance with airworthiness criteria, identify and document discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions or flight limitations.
    • Participate in Test Readiness Reviews (TRR), Flight Readiness Reviews (FRR), and other preflight certification activities; prepare technical findings and assist in dispositioning issues to reach sortie releases.
    • Assist in instrumenting aircraft for flights, verify test instrumentation and data integrity, and coordinate with instrumentation/test technicians during ground and flight operations.
    • Support humansystems and safety considerations as they impact airworthiness determinations.

Minimum Experience:

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Clearance: Must have at time of application a minimum of a Secret clearance
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems Engineering, or related field OR 7 years related experience with no degree.
