Job description

Respiratory Therapist Opportunity

We're hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local healthcare provider where you'll be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
  • Current state license in good standing with the State License Board (NC licensure required).
  • RRT or CRT required; one year experience as an RRT preferred.
  • BLS certification required.
  • PALS, ACLS, and NRP required for Resource Team assignments.
  • Minimum 2 years Respiratory Therapy experience on Resource Team or equivalent, including IPPV/NIPPV ventilator experience.
  • Experience caring for Neonate and Pediatric patients; capability to care for adults when floated.
  • Experience with EPIC or similar EMR systems preferred.
  • Ability to work in ED, PICU, Pediatric CVICU, Pediatric PCU, and general medical floors as needed.

  • Shift Hours: 1900-0700.
  • Shift Pattern: 3x12.
  • Standard Hours Per Week: 36.
  • Duration: 13 week travel assignment.
  • Orientation: 2 days departmental orientation; facility orientation (NEO) provided.
  • Department Expectations: May float to other units within the hospital as needed, including adult patient care when required.
