Join the team at Meltspa By Hershey, a day spa located in downtown Hershey featuring a full range of spa treatments and salon services, including exclusive Hershey's dark chocolate treatments and 9 premier treatment rooms. The Nail Technician performs professional nail, hand and foot treatments. They must possess a thorough knowledge of the nails, including a basic knowledge of hand and feet massage techniques and a neat application of polish. They must possess excellent cleanliness and sanitation skills and be willing to train in our spa's specific nail service offerings. As a Part-Time Team Member, you will enjoy sweet perks like FREE admission and parking to Hersheypark, discounts on food & shopping, and more as soon as you receive your Employee ID! Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):
  • Provide consistent professional nail, hand and foot treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices.*
  • Effectively inform and educate our guests about specific nail care, skincare and wellness concerns, and recommend home care products/regimens from our retail selection.*
  • Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa's policies and procedures.*
  • Perform prep work, properly clean and restock room as required.*
  • Assist team in ensuring cleanliness of front of house and back of house areas, as well as assist in restocking and organization of the facility where needed.*
  • Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention.*
  • Actively promote the spa, treatments, services and retail, as well as programs, promotions and/or discounts available.*
  • Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the spa. Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management.*
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Current Pennsylvania Cosmetology and/or Manicurist license is required.
  • This position participates in the post-offer employment testing program.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Must have professional image representative of the luxury day spa market.
  • Must possess excellent communication and guest service skills.
