Job description

Dental Hygienist (Temporary)

At Schenectady Pediatric Dentistry, we provide exceptional pediatric dental care in a fun, compassionate, and child-focused environment. Our team is dedicated to creating positive experiences for every patient while delivering the highest quality care. We are looking for an experienced and caring Temporary Dental Hygienist to join our team and help support our practice during a short-term staffing need.

Position Details

  • Temporary Position: July 6 – July 16
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:15 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Location: Schenectady Pediatric Dentistry
  • Compensation: $50–$60 per hour, depending on experience

Responsibilities

  • Chart initial dental records, including restored and erupted teeth.
  • Take and process dental radiographs.
  • Perform periodontal screenings for patients 12 years of age and older.
  • Complete prophylaxis (cleanings) and fluoride varnish applications.
  • Perform subgingival scaling when clinically indicated.
  • Place dental sealants following office protocols.
  • Assist with monitoring nitrous oxide during sedation procedures.
  • Accurately document patient treatment and clinical findings.
  • Provide exceptional patient education and create a positive experience for children and their families.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • A current Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license.
