Position: Timekeeper - Turnaround

We are currently hiring experienced Timekeepers for a turnaround project at the CNRL Horizon Site. This is a fly-in/fly-out opportunity with camp accommodations provided, charter flights available from Edmonton or Calgary, and competitive rates. Both day shift and night shift positions are available. The successful candidates will support a fast-paced turnaround environment by ensuring accurate timekeeping, payroll documentation, and workforce reporting throughout the duration of the project.


Qualifications & Education:

  • Previous experience in a Timekeeper, Payroll Administrator, Project Administrator, or similar administrative role
  • Experience working in the Oil & Gas or Industrial Construction industry is considered a strong asset
  • Strong data entry skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Aimsio or similar timekeeping/payroll software is considered an asset
  • Ability to commit to a 12 & 2 rotation, working up to 12-hour day or night shifts for the full duration of the turnaround
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License is considered an asset


Skills, Attributes, and Responsibilities:

  • Receive, review, and process daily employee timesheets, ensuring all personnel are accounted for
  • Verify timesheets for completeness, accuracy, proper approvals, and compliance before processing
  • Enter and maintain accurate timekeeping data for payroll and project reporting purposes
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in timesheet data promptly
  • Cross-reference timesheets with daily sign-in sheets and employee schedules to ensure accuracy
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical records of all timekeeping documentation
  • Track missing, incomplete, or unapproved timesheets and follow up with supervisors as required
  • Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly labor reporting for Canoco and the client
  • Monitor overtime hours and ensure all required approvals and documentation are in place
  • Liaise with Field Supervisors to confirm accurate work order, purchase order, and WBS coding
  • Provide detailed handover notes and coordinate effectively between day and night shift Timekeepers
  • Support personnel changes, including new hires, transfers, and terminations, by updating timekeeping records
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of employee, payroll, and project information
  • Thrive in a fast-paced turnaround environment while demonstrating excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
