CDR ProSource is seeking an Extruder Operator to join our client's manufacturing team in Goshen, IN. We are looking for candidates with previous extrusion experience, preferably in the rubber or plastics industry. Experience operating extruders is highly preferred, as the extrusion process follows the same basic principles across these industries.

Pay Rate: $17.00 – $18.00 per hour (Based on experience)
Schedule: Monday – Thursday | 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Overtime: Occasional Fridays (until 12:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities
- Balance safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency throughout the extrusion process.
- Assist in meeting daily production goals and accurately report production results.
- Participate in and support all workplace safety programs.
- Understand and follow the company's Quality Management System (QMS).
- Troubleshoot extrusion equipment and production issues.
- Work with supervisors and quality personnel to resolve production and quality concerns.
- Follow 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Read and understand Bills of Materials (BOMs) and work orders.
- Read and accurately use tape measures and calipers.
- Follow routing instructions and production schedules.
- Clean dies, extruders, screws, mills, and purge equipment.
- Remove and install dies and sizing equipment following work instructions.
- Set up and operate extrusion equipment.
- Feed raw materials into the extruder.
- Set and monitor extrusion temperatures.
- Follow tooling and routing procedures.
- Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and continuously improve.
- Analyze problems and make informed decisions in a manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
- Previous extrusion experience in rubber or plastics manufacturing preferred.
- Understanding of pins and dies used in extrusion processes is highly preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read work orders and production documents.
- Ability to read tape measures and calipers accurately.
