Job description

Job Title: Material Handler (Aerospace Engine Material Handling & Inventory Specialist)

Location: Dallas, TX and Fort Worth, TX (Onsite- 5 days a week)

Hire Type: Long term contract

Experience Requirement: 3-7 yrs of min experience. Candiate must be familiar with gas turbine hardware (aero or aeroderivative) part(s) handling requirements. Direct working knowledge or evidence of in-direct working knowledge tied to non-material handling role supporting aero/aeroderivative engine hardware.

Job Summary: The Aerospace Engine Material Handling & Inventory Specialist is responsible for receiving, storing, handling, and transporting aerospace engine hardware and related components. This role ensures that high-value and safety-critical parts are properly maintained, tracked, and delivered in support of engine hardware operations across multiple facilities. The Specialist will leverage inventory management systems to maintain accuracy and compliance while adhering to all handling and storage requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and record aerospace engine hardware and components.
  • Ensure proper handling, packaging, and storage of sensitive and critical parts in accordance with company and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records as directed from materials team.
  • Support operations with hardware movement related to site transportation move.
  • Perform physical inventory counts; reconcile discrepancies.
  • Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, and pallet jacks, as required.
  • Maintain compliance with EHS (Environmental, Health, Safety) and quality procedures.
  • Collaborate with material, engineering, and operations teams to meet move schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and verify aerospace engine components and related materials.
  • Handle and transport hardware safely to avoid damage or contamination.
  • Pack and store parts properly using approved procedures.
  • Conduct inventory counts and assist with audits.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (license a plus).
  • Maintain organization of the tool/parts room, at both temporary and new locations.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in aerospace, gas-turbine engine components, tool room, or parts handling role.
  • Knowledge of material handling and part criticality.
  • General familiarity with inventory control systems.
  • Forklift license/certification a plus but not required.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
