Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Temp Recruiter to support our Talent Acquisition team during a period of increased hiring activity. This role is responsible for reviewing applications, conducting candidate prescreens, coordinating interviews, and ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the recruiting process. The Temp Recruiter will partner closely with recruiters and hiring managers to move qualified candidates efficiently through the hiring pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
Candidate Review & Screening
  • Review incoming applications and resumes to identify candidates who meet minimum and preferred qualifications.
  • Evaluate candidate experience, skills, and alignment with job requirements.
  • Maintain timely applicant dispositioning within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Communicate with candidates regarding application status and next steps.

Prescreen Interviews
  • Conduct phone and virtual prescreen interviews to assess:
    • Relevant experience and qualifications
    • Communication skills
    • Compensation expectations
    • Availability and work authorization
    • Overall fit for the role and organization
  • Document interview notes and provide recommendations to hiring teams.
  • Utilize standardized interview guides and evaluation criteria.

Interview Coordination
  • Schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Coordinate calendars and interview logistics.
  • Send interview confirmations and preparation materials to candidates.
  • Manage candidate communications throughout the interview process.
  • Track interview feedback and follow-up with hiring managers as needed.

Candidate Experience
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for candidates.
  • Ensure prompt and professional communication throughout the recruiting process.
  • Keep candidates engaged and informed while awaiting interview feedback or hiring decisions.
  • Support recruitment branding efforts through positive candidate interactions.

Recruiting Operations
  • Maintain accurate candidate records and activity within the ATS.
  • Generate candidate pipelines for recruiters and hiring managers.
  • Support recruitment projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with job postings, sourcing activities, and talent pipeline development as needed.
  • Monitor recruiting metrics and support reporting requirements.

Qualifications
Required
  • 2+ years of recruiting, talent acquisition, HR, staffing, or customer-facing professional experience.
  • Experience conducting phone screens, interviews, or candidate assessments.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Applicant Tracking Systems.

Preferred
  • Experience recruiting in industrial, construction, distribution, manufacturing, or similar industries.
  • Experience using Dayforce, Workday, or similar ATS platforms.
  • High-volume recruiting experience.
  • Experience coordinating interviews across multiple locations.
