Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to set up, adjust, and operate various machine tools to produce precision components. This role requires experience with manual lathes, knee mills, boring bars, grinders, and special-purpose machines.
Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, boring mills, grinders, and other machining tools
  • Work from blueprints, specifications, and job layouts to produce close-tolerance components
  • Diagnose and rectify tooling problems and machine malfunctions
  • Perform quality checks using a variety of precision measuring instruments
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including scheduled preventative maintenance
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Experience operating manual lathes, mills, and grinders
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job layouts
  • Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, gauges, calipers, etc.)
  • Strong problem solving skills and mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting as required
