Provider Credentialing & Enrollment Coordinator
***Temporary with potential for Full Time**
BayMark Health Services is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Credentialing Coordinator to join our team. This position plays an important role in supporting the credentialing and enrollment of healthcare providers and facilities across our organization.
The Credentialing Coordinator will manage credentialing applications, maintain accurate provider and facility information, track licenses and renewals, and work closely with practitioners, leadership, and internal departments to keep credentialing processes moving efficiently and accurately.
What You'll Do
  • Coordinate initial and renewal credentialing applications for healthcare practitioners and facilities.
  • Review applications and supporting documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Collect, verify, and maintain provider credentials, licenses, certifications, accreditation information, and other required documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and current practitioner and facility information within credentialing databases and systems.
  • Utilize CAQH, NPPES, and PECOS to maintain and update provider information.
  • Monitor credentialing, licensing, and renewal deadlines to ensure timely completion.
  • Communicate regularly with physicians, advanced practice providers, counselors, facility leadership, and credentialing or licensing entities.
  • Partner with internal departments, including Human Resources, Legal, Accounting, and Operations, to obtain information and complete required applications.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and audit trails throughout the credentialing process.
  • Prioritize multiple credentialing projects and deadlines across different stages of completion.
  • Troubleshoot credentialing issues and proactively follow up on outstanding information or documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
  • Three years of related experience reviewing applications, maintaining databases, auditing documentation, or supporting credentialing/licensing processes preferred.
  • Healthcare credentialing, provider enrollment, or medical staff experience preferred.
  • Experience with CAQH, NPPES, and PECOS strongly preferred.
  • Experience in behavioral health or substance use disorder treatment is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify missing or inaccurate information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to take initiative, solve problems, and adjust priorities as business needs change.
