Job Title:Product Developer- Personal Care Division

Location:Onsite 5 days a week at our NYC HQ


Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Product Developer to join our Personal Care Division, reporting to the VP of Product Development & Merchandising. This role will be responsible for managing the end-to-end development process for a range of personal care products, including loofahs, bath sponges, towels, beauty tools, nail tools, and related accessories.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end product development for personal care items including implements, accessories, and liquid formulations from concept through production.
  • Partner closely with the design team to review samples, ensuring design intent, functionality, and quality standards are met.
  • Communicate detailed sample feedback to vendors and manage the revision process to ensure accurate execution.
  • Track and manage sample timelines, ensuring samples are delivered to retail customers in a timely manner.
  • Develop and execute packaging design direction, including component selection, materials, finishes, and secondary packaging.
  • Collaborate with production team to ensure a smooth transition from development to production, resolving issues as needed.
  • Partner with vendors and manufacturers to confirm product feasibility, meet cost targets, and adhere to development timelines.

  • Source new packaging components, materials, and techniquesin partnership with vendors and manufacturers.
  • Track development timelines and proactively follow up with vendors to ensureon-time sample delivery for customer meetings and line reviews.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Product Development, Industrial Design, Packaging, Cosmetics Science, Merchandising, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in product development within personal care, beauty, cosmetics, fashion accessories, or a related consumer goods category.
  • Experience managing end-to-end product development from concept through production.
  • Knowledge of packaging development, including components, materials, finishes, and secondary packaging.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with design, production, sourcing, and sales teams.
  • Experience working directly with overseas vendors and manufacturers, providing sample feedback and managing revisions.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to track multiple development timelines simultaneously.
  • Experience sourcing new packaging components, materials, and production techniques.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly document and communicate detailed feedback to vendors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

Salary: The anticipated base salary is $75k-$95k annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, internal equity, and location.
